It is obvious now that Keywords Meta Tag does not affect much in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or Search Engine Positioning (SEP). Meta SEO was the major SEO process in late 90s and early 2000 decades. Now, is a part of current SEO process, which is considered Old School SEO. Previously, people could get benefit from stuffing the keywords meta tags with irrelevant keywords. For some time, search engines used to punish the sites using such method. But, currently, advanced search engine like Google uses filters to ignore such irrelevant keywords.
However, Meta Keywords can give you some competitive advantage, if the competition is close (close ranking scores, not fierce competition). So, it is suggested that, you use Meta Keywords wisely. The wisest thing to do is to find and use most relevant keywords. So, here are some suggestion to collect relevant keywords for Keywords Meta for your site:
Concentrate on niche key-phrases, rather than highly popular single word keywords. However, sites sometimes like single keywords, since they fool the competitors to see what keywords/keyphrases you are targeting.
Keyword in URL is still very important ranking factor, so collect all the keywords available in URL (if not, rename URL to desired keyword)
Keywords in Page Title is the single most important factor in search engine ranking. So, you should have the keywords from page titles as the keywords for meta keywords
Keyword Density Analysis is no longer important for ranking a page. However, they can suggest you with relevant keywords and key-phrases for your page. So, to collect the relevant keywords, you can do a Keyword Density Analysis on your page. For that, you can use Keyword Density Analyzer Tool by SEO Book, if your site is online.
You can use these strategies to collect and compile keywords for SEO planning for existing site. For fresh sites, you may have to do it from scratch. In case of CMS-based sites, there are pretty new Components and Plugin that collects the keywords for you automatically.
If you have been following me for more than a year, you’d know that I have been one of the 5 finalists last year in Marketing Pilgrim’s SEM Scholarship Contest 2008 for my article, 13 Prophecies of Internet Marketing. Update: The Title of this article was Bing.com is Live Now > Live.com is not Bing yet > Kumo Merged with Bing. After few hours Live.com was also redirected to Bing.com. Now, Bing.com is the ultimate search engine by Microsoft.
This is a great breaking news for search marketers. Bing.com is Live now after so many days of anticipation. Microsoft has been working on 2 search engines Bing.com and Kumo.com. But, currently Bing.com, Live.com, and Kumo.com all have the same site, i.e. Bing.com.
For rest of the world (like Bangladesh), Bing Homepage shows UK homepage. But, Bing also has search home page for specific countries, cultures, and languages. Here is a list of the countries that Bing currently supports. For some countries, you will find separate versions according to language. e.g. For USA, they have versions for the English and the Hispanics and for Canada, hey have both Engilsh and French home page.
This morning, I found that the site is hosted in UK Servers at 213.155.157.8 IP. Now, they changed the server to The Netherlands at 62.41.85.43 IP. I guess they are clouding the servers over Europe.
Bing Review
Here is my review about Bing:
I like the Text Preview feature of Bing when you mouse-over a result in the Search Engine Result Page (SERP). This is something that I have predicted earlier in Visual Results section of this article. The prediction was for Google, but I am glad that Bing already used it.
Related search is a good feature, but I guess that this is not something new.
The Image and Video search is quite promising, but the slowest I have ever seen.
In my quick analysis, I found that Bing is somewhat favoring fresh contents.
For most keywords, I have found only businesses. e.g. for Clipping Path, the search results only show business sites. While, Google tries to show both business and literature sites.
That means, the monopolistic influence of WikiPedia is diminished with Bing. (However, in India homepage, I found some influence of Wikipedia for keywords and none in UK homepage)
So, bing is actually the commercial cousin of Google, while Google can remain as the Oracle of Knowledge.

You can use Archive.org’s Wayback Machine for SEO Diagnosis with WinMerge. The Wayback Machine gives you the historial site codes and WinMerge allows to to see the changes in codes.
Old links are good for SEO. If you want to age your current links, then the best place to find them is in the Wayback Machine.
If you want to troubleshoot all time links that are broken, you can use the Wayback Machine and Xenu’s Link Sleuth software to find them and then take measures for improving Usability as well as SEO.
Unique contents are the new King now. But, have you thought that you have created unique content earlier, and it is now residing in the Wayback Machine repository? Use them freely for inbound link building for your site. Use them as soon as possible, before the scrappers do.
For claiming copyright for your contents, you need a good evidence and the pages indexed in the Wayback Machine can ensure you exactly that.

Link Ageand Domain Age are totally different things.
Domain Age denotes the age from the time when the site was registered (Source: WHOIS information).
Link Age denotes the age from the time the specific page/link was created (Source: Document Inception Date).
So, over time, you can have many new links in an old site.

Domain age has significant influence in Google Rankings and it is proven. Old sites has been awarded with better ranking since 2005, as Google found that spammers evacuate site quite frequently.
But, many Search Engine Optimizers (SEOs) debate over the positive influence of “Link Age” in SEO. Many debate that Google likes fresh contents in old sites. So, for Link Age, this is somewhat inverse relation to positive SEO factors involving age. i.e. the newer the link age, the better the ranking.
Darren McLaughlin, in the Sootle Directory blog, mentioned the Google Patent using Document Inception Date for the freshness of links.
However, there are a great number of SEOs that believe that old links are better than new links. In their view, link age is also important as domain age. Again, it is also evidant that Google punishes the pages that have not been updated for long time. However, in the view of these SEOs, the freshness of content in old link has more marketibility than new links.
